Quicktime Version 7.2 (Will not work with QT after 7.3).
Will not work on MAC OS 10.5 or later
Shockwave Flash 8.0 r24

Converting

Download Quicktime 7.2 from Apple support site [ DO NOT ENABLE AUTO UPGRADES. DO NOT UPGRADE PLAYER NO MATTER HOW MUCH IT BEGS]
Purchase upgrade to Quicktime Pro
Load .mov files into quicktime player. Allow flash to be used.
File/Export to quicktime movie
