Planets and Sourceforge

The Planets Suite source code and other resources are hosted by Sourceforge:

• The core service suite is hosted here: http://sourceforge.net/projects/planets-suite/
• The PLATO preservation planning tool will be hosted on Sourceforge soon.
• More services and third-party contributions are hosted here: http://sourceforge.net/projects/planets-contrib/
• The customized JEE server that the suite depends on is hosted here: http://sourceforge.net/projects/planets-server/

The steering, stewardship and development of these components will be sustained via the OPF.

• We use the Testbed Helpdesk Tracker to manage support request for the [planetssuite:Central Testbed Service|/apps/trac/planets-suite/wiki/PlanetsTestbed/CentralTestbedService] .
• We use the Ohloh service to provide an overview of the Planets code and the contributors: https://www.ohloh.net/p/planets-suite/
• We use this Trac wiki to manage technical documentation and bug tickets.* Active Tickets For The Planets Testbed

• We (will) use Subversion to store the source code.
• We (will) use the Sourceforge file manager to manage bundle and binary distribution.
• We (will) use the Sourceforge Project Web space to store the main landing page, host javadoc or maven artifacts, etc.
• We (may) use Virtual Host Configuration to patch these services being a new URL (Open Planets Foundation).
• We (may) use Sourceforge Forums to host discussions (what? with whom?).
• We (may) use Sourceforge Mailing Lists to announce and/or discuss? (announce, testbed-status and techie? c.f. Forums).
• We (may) use the Sourceforge Project News system to disseminate news about this project.
• We (may) use the Sourceforge Screenshot system to host screenshots of the suite.
