Stakeholder	Interest/stake
BU Researchers/Faculty	Preserving their research output. Making it easier to grant/provide access to their researcher. Allow them to meet requirements for grant funding.
Students	Students will be able to access special collections and faculty research remotely.
University Administration	By being at the forefront of Digital Preservation we will be seen as innovative leaders and increase the reputation of the libraries and of the university. By being able to preserve and provide access to research from the University's faculty, the reputation of the University will grow and the faculty will be able to meeting government and other granting agency funding requirements. Also the University Administration has an interest in preserving the institutional memory of the institution will
University Foundation	By being able to preserve and provide access to research from the University's faculty, the reputation of the University will grow and the faculty will be able to meeting government and other granting agency funding requirements.
Office of Communications and Marketing	The Office of Communications and Marketing produces a huge amount of content about the University and what is happening day-to-day on campus. However, they are not equipped to do long-term preservation of the materials they produce. By doing Digital Preservation, the Libraries will be able to help them preserve their work which can be used in retrospective stories and other materials they produce in the future, thus preserving the institution's memory.
Subject Librarians	Subject Librarians are liaisons to departments and need to be involved with collections involving there areas of responsibility.
Special Collections and University Archives	Special Collections and University Archives have an interest in making their collections known and findable. They also have a stake in letting remote researchers use the collections, which helps raise the visibility of the collections they use. They also may be able to receive funding via grants (or other methods) or possibly new donations based on the availability/visibility of other collections. University archives is charged with, among other things, maintaining the institutional memory. With many publications only being produced in digital format,they need a way to preserve information in the digital realm.
Alumni	Alumni will be able to view photos, news stories and other information about the University, both now and from the past.
Researchers from Other Institutions	Researchers from other institutions will be able to access collections remotely.
Donors	People who donate materials to the Special Collections want their donations to be accessible and to be preserved. By digitally preserving and provided online access to the materials they donate, this can be accomplished.
Community Members	Community members have a keen interest in the Libraries' special collections, esp. local history collections. By digitally preserving and provided online access to materials, community members will be able to view content remotely for years to come.
