Key hackathon themes

Development at the hackathon will take place in 4 or 5 themed groups which will tackle specific challenges.
So far we have these themes, the "Shaping the event" section of the agenda will add more. These will then be prioritised by the group

FITS
- Establishing FITS as a community project: code hosting (Google vs Github), OPF involvement, mangement, incorporate changes from last hackathon (Open FITS), etc
- Add Tika?
- Join up with C3PO: any issues to address?
- Individual apps viewpoint - making integration with FITS (and other tools) easier, getting more out of individual tools output (eg. write more XSLTs to get more properties out of JHoves output)
- Identifying/addressing FITS performance issues

File Format Signature Registry / Convertor
Address the PDF characterisation problem: JHOVE, JHOVE2, PDFBox, Tika
- Simple, focused stand alone tool that identifies concrete preservation risks in PDF files
JHOVE2 development, fixes, extensions
Parallel processing of identification and characterisation jobs
