Tate - Elevator Pitch

Pitched at Deputy Director (Operational manager for Tate galleries)

Hi, I’m Anna Henry, I’m the Digital Preservation Manager. I’m working to make sure that all of our valuable digital assets are looked after. 

Tate is trusted to look after a lot of amazing artwork and it’s important that Tate makes sure that we’re able to keep doing this for digital artworks and archives just as we can for non-digital. We also create a lot of our own great content and Tate needs to make sure this is well-managed so that it can be re-used and people aren’t re-doing work.

To do this we need to allocate resources to developing infrastructure, and we also need to work together across the organisation to develop good processes so that we’re creating and managing digital assets in a consistent way. I’ll be presenting a business case for a digital repository to the board soon so I hope I’ll have your support!
